Here is Janis at the beach.
After our visit at the beach, we went back to the house, decided what we wanted to do and then the three of us drove to Dennis, MA. Janis had told us about this Tea Room in an Art Gallery that she had been to and liked. Since both Jan and I like Tea Rooms, we wanted to go there and have lunch. The place wasn't easy to find, we drove around for a while, and by the time we got there, Jan and I were starving.
The Gallery was open, but the Tea Room was closed. We were already at the door and two nice men came out and told us that the the Tea Room is always closed on Saturdays because they have weddings scheduled for Sundays and Saturday is for preparations. Besides, they had a private party in the Tea Room - a couple from Florida, renewing their vows for their 25th wedding anniversary. We were so disappointed, and then the two gentlemen decided that we should come in and have our tea!
The Gallery/Tea Room is housed in an old barn that had been renovated and everything was absolutetly stunning! There is no other word to describe the barn, the Art, the atmosphere, the friendly people, the surroundings, and did I mention the friendly people?
Here are Janis and Jan, having tea in the middle of beautiful paintings, drawings, and works of Art. The china was collected over time, some of the cups and saucers were like pieces of art themself.
One of the gentlemen who decided we should have tea after all was George, a Scotsman and formerly the chef to Ted Kennedy. After the Senators death he was not quite sure what he should do and collaborated with Mr. Borsari (the other gentleman) to open a Tea Room inside the Gallery. What a great idea! So George is chef, waiter and probably chief cook and bottle washer.
The Gallery/Tea Room hosts many weddings and the upper level of the barn has been renovated and a bridal suite has been added. Mr. Borsari and his wife have thought of everything! The property is also very beautiful and I can just imagine how romantic and special a wedding here must be.

Jan and Janis dropped me off at the center of Chatham and I went for a walk and checked out all the little shops along the main road. While I was doing the sightseeing and window shopping, Jan and Janis went to the beach.
After 1 1/2 hours they came back to pick me up, we drove to the Fish Market, picked up some Lobster rolls and took them home.
The lobster rolls were very good and after dinner we watched a movie, "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo". It was in the original swedish, with subtitles. It was an interesting movie, but we found out that you can't watch a movie with subtitles, and knit at the same time.
The Tea Room was so much more than we could have ever imagined. The food was great, everything was made fresh, George was friendly and happy and a very sweet man, and we all enjoyed our visit. Check out their website: www.borsarigallerycapecod.com
Jan had been to a knit shop here in Dennis a few years ago and the shop was just down the street from the Tea Room. So of course we had to go visit! It is a nice little shop and again we bought patterns and cards, a little of this and that, but no yarn.

It was a great day! I have seen a lot today, and since Janis is driving, I get to do some sightseeing. Cape Cod is beautiful, and the weather is cooperating as well.
