On the way to Mount Rushmore we stopped first at an Animal Park, where we drove the car through the different animal enclosures. Patrick and I liked the bears the best, but we also saw Bison, Reindeer, Wolfs and other animals who are at home in the black Hills.


They also had a Baby Land where the baby bears were the ones we both liked best. They were just fun to watch!

We then went on to Mount Rushmore. It was very hot today but we still walked the President's Trail, even though it was mostly steps going up or down. It was a surreal experience to stand in front of the Presidents!

Patrick thought he looked good as the 5th President!

We ate a lot of ice cream while we were at Mount Rushmore. A couple of years ago we bought T-Shirts for Patrick everywhere we went on our vacation, this year the motto seems to be the ice cream!
