I did not realize before now, how expensive senior year in High School is. Good grief, I might as well just hand out $100 bills left and right and get it over with! First there were the "official" senior pictures, then all the College applications, now it's time for the announcements, class ring, cap and gown, and we're approaching $1000 ! ! ! And I'm not even sure there isn't something else I forgot or will be told about at a later date. Argh! I knew it would be hard to send your only child to College, but I didn't think we would be broke BEFORE we even send him there. I'm glad we only have one kid! :)

Ich wusste bis vor ein paar Wochen noch nicht, wie teuer das letzte Schuljahr in der High School ist. Zuerst wurden die "offiziellen" Senior Fotos gemacht, dann kommen die gebuehren fuer die College Bewerbungen dazu, die Bekanntgebungen, der Schul Ring, der Doktorhut und Talar, und wir sind schon fast bei $1000! Ich bin mir noch nicht einmal sicher, ob nicht noch mehr dazu kommt, vielleicht etwas an das ich im Moment noch gar nicht denke. Ich wusste ja, dass es sehr teuer wird, ein Kind zum College zu schicken, aber ich wusste nicht, dass uns das Jahr davor schon bankrott macht! Ich bin froh, dass wir nur ein Kind haben! :)
